Overview
Villaitana, at the Meliá Villaitana resort above Benidorm, is actually two Jack Nicklaus-designed courses in one location: Levante, a full championship layout stretching over 7,000 yards from the back tees, and Poniente, a shorter par-62 executive course through Mediterranean pine forest. Both sit on a hillside with views over the Mediterranean and the Finestrat mountains. Levante is the serious test; Poniente is built to be approachable and enjoyable regardless of handicap — useful flexibility for a mixed group.
Why Mirava chose it
Having two courses on one property gives real flexibility for a group day: stronger players can take on Levante's full championship challenge while others play a relaxed round on Poniente, and everyone reconvenes at the same clubhouse afterward. The hillside setting and sea views also make it a naturally photogenic stop for the trip.
