MIrava Golf & GourmetLa Sella Golf
A José María Olazábal design at the foot of Montgó, where three distinct nine-hole loops keep every round different.
Overview
Opened in 1991 and designed by Ryder Cup legend José María Olazábal, La Sella is a 27-hole parkland course set in the Montgó Natural Park near Dénia. Its three nine-hole loops — Gregal, Mestral and Llebeig — can be combined in different pairings, so no two rounds play quite the same. La Sella sports a combination of Mestral’s wider and Llebeig’s narrower, tree-lined fairways, with Gregal in between, making some forgiving off the tee, others more punishing. Well-protected greens demand precision on approach, giving it a strong test for lower handicaps without punishing higher ones.
Why Mirava chose it
La Sella's variety suits a group where not everyone plays at the same level — generous landing areas keep the round enjoyable for higher handicaps, while the greens give the stronger players something to think about. Its on-site resort setting also makes it easy to pair the round with a relaxed lunch or spa afternoon at the hotel, without having to go elsewhere.
Comments from golf enthusiasts
"Play a real test on a current Ladies European Tour site (Llebeig + Gregal) with some challenging and narrow holes." Robert, Germany
